I’m Nick Stephens, Client Strategy Director at Custodian. I lead our relationship team and oversee the strategies we build for clients — my job is making sure every client gets clear, considered guidance as they work toward their financial goals.

My background is in property. I hold a real estate licence and across 15 years I’ve worked with thousands of Australians on building their financial futures.

I’ve been at Custodian 8 years, starting as Marketing Director before moving into the Client Strategy Director role in 2023. The company culture, values and seeing the impact of the work up close is what’s kept me here.

My wife and I own our home and hold two Custodian investment properties, so the strategy we recommend is one we’ve followed ourselves. Our two boys, aged 5 and 2, keep us busy, and whatever time is left goes into never-ending DIY and landscaping.

The most rewarding part of this job is watching a client go from nervous to genuinely confident — and then seeing the results follow. Their stories are the reason I enjoy the work.
