My name is Daren Humphreys, and I’m a Property Investment Strategist at Custodian, looking after clients in Queensland, New South Wales, and the Australian Capital Territory. Since joining the team in January 2022, I’ve been deeply involved in helping families secure their financial futures using the 7 Steps strategy. My role is more than just a job, it’s a passion. I relish connecting with clients, learning about their personal and professional lives, and guiding them in a way that can profoundly impact their futures. One of the primary reasons I was drawn to Custodian was the opportunity to build long-term relationships with clients while utilising a proven strategy that genuinely makes a difference in their lives. 

Before my time at Custodian, I spent over 30 years honing my skills in sales and marketing with major global brands across Australia and internationally. I began investing over 25 years ago and recently made my latest purchase through Custodian in December 2023. My professional journey also includes a decade of experience as a tour director and guide, leading over 150 tours throughout Europe, Russia, and Scandinavia. 

In terms of property, my family currently owns three Custodian properties in addition to our family home. We’re planning to diversify further into the Western Australian market in 2024. 

Outside of work, I start my day early as a proud member of the 5:00 AM club, combining exercise with a touch of humor. My morning routine includes a one-hour walk with my wife in nature, followed by a healthy breakfast. On weekends, I enjoy playing golf, often indulging in an occasional pale ale at the 19th hole. I also have a soft spot for playing air guitar to classic Aussie rock from the 1970s and 1980s. I’m a dedicated Canterbury Bulldogs NRL supporter—something that keeps my spirits high even when the team is in a rebuilding phase. 

What makes my job truly fulfilling is the ability to share my life experiences and form genuine connections with clients. I take pride in standing behind a company that offers hope and direction through a proven strategy with long-term benefits.
